Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fine Dining Line Cook to join an upscale restaurant in downtown Lakeland. This is an exciting opportunity to prepare exceptional cuisine in a high-end dining environment that emphasizes quality, presentation, and outstanding guest service.

The ideal candidate is passionate about culinary excellence, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and takes pride in preparing beautifully crafted dishes. You will play a key role in delivering memorable dining experiences by consistently executing high-quality menu items to fine dining standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
Execute menu items with precision while maintaining consistency and exceptional quality.
Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection, seasonal offerings, and dish execution.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout each shift.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely meal preparation and exceptional service.
Perform food preparation tasks, including chopping, portioning, seasoning, and plating with accuracy.
Support private events and catering functions while maintaining fine dining quality standards.
Demonstrate excellent knife skills and proper cooking techniques.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to kitchen leadership.
Comply with all health department regulations and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment required.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Proven experience preparing and presenting high-quality meals.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail.
Experience with menu development and flavor pairing is preferred.
Background in restaurant kitchens or upscale catering operations.
Knowledge of dietary accommodations and specialized meal preparation is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to cleanliness, professionalism, and culinary excellence.
