Full Job Description

We're looking for a detail oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team. The right candidate brings strong organizational skills, accuracy in handling financial data, and a steady, reliable approach to daily accounting tasks. In this role, you’ll help maintain complete financial records, manage vendor activity, and keep essential office operations running smoothly.

Emphasis will be placed on candidates who apply with desired pay range.

Job Requirements:

Highschool diploma or GED
Ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels in the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Detailed oriented with exceptional organization skills
Effectively multi-task in a fast paced work environment
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Basic office clerical and equipment skills
Adobe and Microsoft Excel experience strongly preferred
NetSuite experience a plus

Job Responsibilities:

Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.
Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions.
Record credit card deposits and ACH customer receipts into the accounting system.
Enter vendor invoices into accounting system, matching purchase orders to receiving information and obtaining payment approvals as necessary.
Reconcile vendor statements and follow-up on variances.
Communicate with vendors to obtain invoices, statements or to clear discrepancies.
Assist with vendor credit applications.
Set-up new vendors in the accounting system.
Answer and route incoming phone calls.
Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters.
Locate and attach appropriate files to incoming correspondence requiring replies.
Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
Make copies of correspondence or other printed material.
Conduct searches to find needed information, using a variety of sources.
Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
