Full Job Description

James, McElroy & Diehl, P.A., a full-service Charlotte law firm, is seeking a candidate for the position of a Family Law Paralegal. We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal who is a team player and committed to delivering the highest quality services to our clients.

Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between the client and attorney, conducting client interviews, preparing and drafting pleadings and motions, preparing and reviewing discovery, analyzing and summarizing financial information, preparing for and aiding in trials as well as mediations, arbitrations, depositions and hearings.

Qualifications

Two years of prior experience as a family law paralegal
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and document management systems
Excellent attention to detail for proofreading and editing legal documents
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, lawyers, and other staff
Self-motivated, but should also possess demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
