About Personal Balance Counseling

Personal Balance Counseling is celebrating over 10 years of serving the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are an established, collaborative private practice built on one simple mission:

People helping people find their personal balance.

Due to significant demand, we are seeking an experienced Couples Therapist to join our growing team. Our couples waitlist continues to grow each week, and we are looking for a clinician who is passionate about helping couples strengthen their relationships and navigate life's challenges.

If you're looking for a practice where you can build a couples caseload quickly while being supported by an experienced team, we'd love to meet you.

Immediate Caseload Available

We currently have:

An active and growing couples therapy waitlist
Referrals available immediately
Established referral relationships with physicians, schools, and community partners
Administrative support so you can focus on providing excellent clinical care

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a therapist who:

Enjoys working with couples as a significant part of their caseload
Has completed Gottman Level 1 Training (Level 2 or Certification is a plus)
Works comfortably with adults and older teens
Uses evidence-based approaches to relationship therapy
Values collaboration, professionalism, and high-quality clinical care

Additional experience in trauma, attachment, or emotion regulation is welcomed.

Responsibilities

Provide couples therapy using evidence-based approaches, including Gottman Method principles
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
Maintain timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team
Participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

Illinois LCPC, LCSW, LPC, or LSW
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
Gottman Level 1 training required (higher levels preferred)
Minimum two years of counseling experience preferred

Position Details

Full-time or Part-time
12–25 client hours per week (8 hours of evening or weekend required)
Hybrid (Orland Park office + telehealth)
Compensation: $55–$110 per clinical hour, depending on caseload and experience
