**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely financial reporting to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts, including governmental accounting and account reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero is essential for this role. **Responsibilities:** - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and governmental regulations. - Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets. - Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement. - Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Maintain a thorough understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles. - Provide timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders. - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes. - Perform data entry and 10-key typing tasks as needed. - Develop and maintain procedures for financial record-keeping and reporting. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. - Strong understanding of financial concepts, including governmental accounting. - Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero. - Experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - 10-key typing proficiency. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
