Niki Christopoulos, MD, FACS (plastic surgeon) is looking for a part-time certified Medical Assistant in surgical procedures and cosmetic services.

As Medical Assistant - with surgical and cosmetic experience – you will play a vital role in delivering a seamless and exceptional experience for both surgical and nonsurgical patients. This position supports our plastic surgeon and aesthetic providers by coordinating clinical care, preparing patients and procedure rooms, assisting during surgeries and cosmetic treatments, managing patient communications and follow-ups, scheduling appointments, handling check-in, and check-out activities, and ensuring each patient feels supported from start to finish.

You will also be the first point of contact for our patients and guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient handling of all patient service operations. Your role is crucial in creating a positive experience for every patient and supporting our dermatology team in delivering outstanding care. Must have strong medical front office and patient services experience, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for dermatologic health.

Key Responsibilities [include but not limited to]

· Assist in preparing for and supporting patient visits, take patient histories, vital signs, and pre-treatment photography

· Prepare exam rooms, medical supplies, and instruments to support patient care

· Assist providers during in-office surgical procedures and cosmetic treatments

· Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare, pre- and post-care protocols, and follow-ups; maintain detailed documentation in our EMR system

· Support day-to-day clinical flow, inventory management, and patient communication

· Uphold a polished, professional presence as an ambassador of the practice

· Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain front desk operations. Schedule appointments to optimize provider availability and patient flow

· Handle phone calls, emails, and insurance/billing inquiries

· Maintain a clean, organized reception area and retail space

· Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in patient data entry

Qualifications

· Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience assisting in surgical procedures and providing support for cosmetic services required. Plastic surgery and/or aesthetic dermatology experience highly preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

· Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and stay calm under pressure

· Proficiency with EMR systems (Nextech preferred), Microsoft Office, and general clinical tools

· Well-groomed appearance and a positive, team-oriented attitude

· Passionate about patient care and continued personal/professional development
