Job Title: IT Support Technician

Location: Greenville, NC
Job Type: In Office & Onsite / Full-Time
Expected Hours: 40 hours/week

CPU Managed IT Solutions is a growing MSP (Managed Services Provider) serving small to mid-sized businesses across Central to Coastal North Carolina. We support a wide range of industries including medical, legal, service, and industrial sectors. Our mission is to deliver professional, proactive, and personable IT services that help our clients succeed.

We’re growing quickly and looking to expand our team with a reliable and motivated technician who’s ready to develop their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Summary

This IT Support Technician position offers the best of both worlds — working remotely to handle support tickets and providing onsite service to our valued clients when needed. The ideal candidate is a dependable, resourceful problem-solver who’s eager to grow in the IT field and can communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Provide remote and onsite technical support to business clients
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues (hardware/software)
Install, configure, and support common business applications
Perform Microsoft 365 user management and email troubleshooting
Support printers and scanners, including IP configuration and network setup
Assist with light network tasks related to routing, switching, and wireless
Maintain clear, concise documentation in our ticketing system
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and team members

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of experience in an IT support role
Working knowledge of Windows OS and business-class hardware
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and domain environments
Ability to troubleshoot and configure networked printers
Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DHCP, routers/switches)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for onsite visits

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an MSP or service desk setting
Exposure to firewalls, especially SonicWALL
Familiarity with RMM/PSA tools
Server OS experience (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022)
Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft AZ-900, etc.)
