Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and friendly Dining Room Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a welcoming and efficient dining environment by assisting with food service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests enjoy a seamless experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a positive atmosphere where customers feel valued and well cared for. Duties

Set tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and linens to ensure a polished presentation for guests
Serve food and beverages efficiently, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
Clear tables promptly after guests finish their meals, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
Assist with cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
Handle manual lifting of supplies, equipment, and heavy items using safe lifting practices to prevent injury
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly
Support catering events or special functions by setting up dining areas and assisting with food presentation as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations within the food industry
Strong communication skills to interact confidently with team members and guests
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper lifting techniques
Experience with table setting, serving, bussing, and general hospitality duties is advantageous
Reliable with excellent time management skills to ensure smooth service during busy periods
A positive attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
