Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled machine operators to set up, operate, and maintain ECM machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

2nd shift 3:00pm - 11:00p M -F plus 15% shift premium

3rd shift 11:00pm-7:15am S-Th plus 10% shift premium

Weekend shift following training period - 6am-6pm Sat/Sun & 1 week day 36 hours, paid 40 hours. plus 15% shift premium.

$$$Hiring Bonus eligibility paid in accordance with completed training period. $$$

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate ECM machines to manufacture precision components
Load programs, adjust offsets, and make tool changes as required
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
Monitor machine operations to ensure part quality and dimensional accuracy
Perform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Identify and troubleshoot machining issues; make adjustments to maintain tolerances
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
Meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards
Document production data, inspections, and any deviations
Collaborate with engineers, quality, and supervisors to resolve issues and improve processes

The machine operator independently sets up, operates, and optimizes electrochemical machining processes to produce high-precision aerospace components. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Independently set up, adjust, and run ECM equipment
Optimize voltage, current, feed rates, and electrolyte chemistry
Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and process specs
Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues
Perform in-process and final inspections
Support AS9100 audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

1+ years machining or non-traditional machining experience
Strong understanding of machining principles
Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
Proven safety and quality compliance history

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing shop environment
Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 100 lbs with mechanical assistance as needed
Exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids (PPE provided)
