Accounting Specialist / Clerk

Location: Brookshire, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time | In-Person

Position Overview

Elin Energy is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This full-time, in-person role focuses primarily on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.

As a rapidly expanding manufacturing organization, this position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting compliance, and strengthening day-to-day accounting operations.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional hours may be required during month-end close, audit periods, or other high-volume business needs. This role requires on-site collaboration with leadership and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounts payable (AP) processes, including invoice review, coding, and vendor payments
Oversee accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment tracking, and account follow-ups
Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations regularly and accurately
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
Maintain vendor records and oversee payment schedules
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances
Prepare financial reports and assist with audits as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Support leadership with financial data and reporting requests

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience required
Strong experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and reconciliations required
QuickBooks experience preferred (not required)
Experience in manufacturing or construction accounting preferred
Strong understanding of general ledger maintenance and financial reconciliation processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Compensation

Starting at $55,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
