EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

This position leads the planning and daily operations of the medical record department to support patient care and hospital compliance. As a Medical Records Director, you will perform the following duties:

Department Leadership: Direct and supervise medical records staff and daily operations
Compliance Oversight: Apply current laws, policies, and standards to guide recordkeeping practices
Record Management: Maintain patient records with accuracy, security, and proper documentation
Electronic Health Record Coordination: Support the development and use of the hospital electronic medical record system
Policy Development: Review and update medical record procedures to ensure consistency and clarity
Performance Monitoring: Review records and statistics to support quality improvement efforts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
Overtime and travel: As needed
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
