About Your Role

As a Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to work on complex tax returns as you begin to assume responsibility for not only preparing but reviewing and supervising tax preparation engagements and managing client accounts. This role will help you to develop a true command of all things tax. We have a variety of tax research tools available that will allow you to continue to gain proficiency in tax research, too. In the end, your goal is to help our clients achieve their tax related goals. We pride ourselves on delivering high level tax services which include tax research, drafting memos for tax issues, as well as preparing and reviewing a variety of tax return deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

· Assist clients with meeting their tax and financial planning objectives while managing client accounts

· Research and draft informational tax memos on various tax issues for clients

· Prepare and review a variety of tax returns and serve as a tax expert when appropriate

· Assist clients with understanding their corporate and personal tax returns

· Keep up to date on ever-changing tax regulations and policies

· Supervise staff accountants including thorough training and meaningful coaching

· Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and work to develop our team of high performers

Your Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field

· Hold active CPA certification (preferred) or CPA candidate

· 3-5+ years progressive experience preparing and reviewing all types of tax returns

· Proven ability to recognize tax saving opportunities and implement tax strategies for clients

· Ability to clean up client's books in order to prepare the tax return, including making adjusting journal entries to tie out the balance sheet

· Ability to build effective business relationships with clients

· Possess sound judgement and integrity

· Strong written communication skills

· Ability to work independently yet cohesively as part of a team
