Front Desk Medical Receptionist
We are a multi-office Dermatology and Orthopedics practice, seeking enthusiastic and pleasant front desk receptionists, with room for growth within the company. Our practice is an engaging high-paced team-orientated practice with a culture of hard work and comradery. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on our patients and our community, with enthusiastic employees that are active participants and contributors in achieving this vision. We are looking for receptionists for 2 locations (Manhattan and Queens, unable to add location to ad)

Medical Receptionist:

Job Description

Greeting and interacting with patients in a pleasant and professional matter in person, via phone, or email
Office support to physicians and patient care administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care
Answering phone calls, Check-in and check out, collecting co-pays and ensuring payment at the end of the visit, scheduling patients, interaction with insurance companies (prior authorizations, insurance referrals, call-backs), scanning into EHR
Potential for growth within the company if qualified and interested for medical billing or surgical coordinator

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Looking for pleasant and courteous, efficient and energetic, proactive and professional individuals with strong organization and multitasking abilities with an overall positive demeanor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent computer skills, as this office is mostly paperless
English language skills, bilingual skills in Chinese is necessary given the surrounding community
Must be a team player.
Individual should be stress-resistant, patient, and able to communicate effectively with others
Preference given to prior experience in medical offices, knowledge in billing, bilingual capabilities (Chinese dialects), and willingness to travel between Queens or Manhattan if needed.
Full-time and long-term positions are preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
