Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this lively role, you’ll ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment, supporting the smooth operation of our busy kitchen environment. Your attention to detail and dedication to food safety will help maintain the highest standards of hygiene, allowing chefs and food service staff to focus on creating delicious meals. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience while working in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting.

Duties

Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision
Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers and manual cleaning tools
Follow all sanitation standards and health regulations to uphold kitchen hygiene and safety protocols
Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots or crates with proper technique to prevent injury
Contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness by maintaining organized storage areas for clean and dirty items

Requirements

Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key!
Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is a plus
Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling techniques
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting busy restaurant operations
Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential!
