Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Repossession Administrator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate vehicle dispatching, manage repossession operations, and ensure seamless communication across multiple departments. Your expertise in transportation planning, fleet management, and customer service will drive efficiency and uphold compliance with DOT regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's logistics excellence while supporting our commitment to exceptional service delivery.

Duties

Coordinate the dispatch of vehicles using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
Manage repossession operations by scheduling and tracking vehicle recoveries in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall transportation efficiency.
Maintain accurate data entry within logistics platforms such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 for all dispatch and repossession activities.
Communicate effectively via multi-line phone systems, handling high-volume calls with professionalism, clarity, and courtesy while managing customer inquiries and internal coordination.
Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations during all transportation activities, including proper documentation and safety protocols.
Collaborate with internal teams on shipping & receiving schedules, freight management, and fleet management to streamline operations and reduce delays.

Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching, transportation planning, or logistics coordination within a road transportation environment.
Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
Familiarity with GPS, GIS mapping tools, and vehicle tracking technologies to enhance route optimization.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes.
Effective communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette and internal communication protocols.
Understanding of DOT regulations related to vehicle operations and safety standards.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Experience working with logistics software like SyteLine or 3PL systems is a plus.
