Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified High-Rise Building Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of high-rise buildings, specifically high-rise condominiums. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our property, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and tenant satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of high-rise building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
Manage and implement the association's preventive maintenance plan, ensuring all systems and equipment are regularly inspected and serviced to prevent issues before they arise.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems function efficiently.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
Work closely with property management and vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and tenant service requests.

Requirements:

Certification & Licenses: Must hold relevant certifications in building engineering (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, EPA, or similar).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-rise building engineering, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with high-rise condominiums.
Preventive Maintenance Expertise: Proven ability to develop, manage, and execute a preventive maintenance program for a high-rise building.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, energy management, and general building maintenance.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with tenants and management.
Availability: Ability to be on call for emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
