Assignment Overview

Shift: Days, 4x10hrs
Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Start Date: Sep 21, 2026
Length: 13 weeks
Openings: 2

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy assignment requiring 2+ years of RN experience and endoscopy procedure experience.

Details

Work in the Endoscopy department of a hospital setting
13-week assignment length
Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM) or 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:30 PM)
1:1 patient ratio experience required for this role

Requirements

Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Endoscopy procedure experience required
PACU experience preferred
Skilled in circulating for procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
Experience monitoring conscious sedation and interpreting/managing dysrhythmias
Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; coworker references not accepted

Additional Information

Responsibilities include circulating for endoscopy procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD, monitoring conscious sedation, and managing pre-procedure care
Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
RTO must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict credentialing timelines
First-time travelers may be considered for this position
