Staff Accountant
Salary: $65k–$75k + Bonus
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:

Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management functions
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve processes and reporting accuracy
Support audit activities by preparing schedules and documentation

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of accounting experience (public or corporate) preferred
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and on a team
