Full Job Description

Automotive Dealership Controller Salary: $100,000-$120,000+ per year, based on experience

We are seeking a highly experienced Automotive Dealership Controller to join our dealership. This is a key management position requiring extensive automotive dealership accounting experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to independently oversee the dealership's complete accounting and financial operations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Extensive automotive dealership accounting experience is required
Full working knowledge of Dealertrack software is required
Strong knowledge of full-cycle dealership accounting
Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and account reconciliations
General ledger management and journal entries
Deal posting, funding reconciliation, and accounting schedules
Payroll and employee-related accounting
Month-end and year-end closing procedures Financial statement preparation, review, and analysis
Ability to maintain accurate accounting schedules and ensure accounts are reconciled
Ability to identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and resolve accounting problems independently
Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills
Ability to oversee accounting processes and ensure deadlines and financial reporting requirements are met

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is tenacious, self-driven, confident, dependable, and extremely detail-oriented. We need someone who takes complete ownership of their position, follows through, meets deadlines, identifies problems before they become larger issues, and does not need to be continuously supervised or reminded of responsibilities.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment, managing multiple priorities, solving problems, maintaining accurate financial records, and taking responsibility for the overall integrity of the dealership's accounting operations.

Schedule

This is a full-time salaried management position requiring a minimum commitment of 50 hours per week. Candidates must also have the flexibility to work some Saturdays as business needs require.

Compensation

$100,000-$120,000+ annually, depending on dealership controller experience, Dealertrack proficiency, and overall qualifications.

Please do not apply unless you have substantial automotive dealership accounting experience and are proficient with Dealertrack.

We are looking for an experienced professional who can step into the Controller position with confidence, take ownership of the dealership's accounting operations, and become a dependable long-term member of our management team.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
