Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Water Mitigation Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing water damage situations, preparing comprehensive estimates, and coordinating with clients, insurance adjusters, and contractors. This role plays a vital part in ensuring project success through precise cost estimation, effective negotiation, and thorough project management. The Water Mitigation Estimator will utilize construction estimating skills and industry-specific software to deliver timely and accurate proposals that support our company's mission of quality restoration.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site assessments of water damage to determine scope of work and necessary mitigation procedures.
Prepare detailed estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, incorporating all aspects of construction estimating.
Collaborate with clients, insurance adjusters, and contractors to negotiate scope changes and pricing adjustments effectively.
Develop accurate project budgets that include cost control measures while maintaining profitability.
Review construction contracts and manage project documentation throughout the mitigation process.
Coordinate with construction management teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Monitor project progress on-site, addressing any issues related to construction site experience or unforeseen circumstances.
Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, negotiations, contracts, and project updates for transparency and accountability.
Support project management efforts by providing clear communication regarding scope changes or cost implications.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating within the water mitigation or restoration industry.
Strong proficiency with construction estimating software tools.
Knowledge of negotiation techniques to effectively manage scope adjustments and pricing discussions.
Familiarity with construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
Experience with cost control strategies to optimize project profitability.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
Construction site experience or background in construction management is highly desirable.
