About the Role

As a CNC Turning Specialist, you will drive precision manufacturing by programming, setting up, and operating advanced CNC lathe equipment to deliver high-quality components. Your technical expertise in machining and blueprint interpretation will be vital in optimizing production workflows and ensuring every part meets rigorous engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

Execute complex setups and operate CNC lathe machinery to achieve precise tolerances defined by technical drawings.
Manage tooling inventory and perform routine machine maintenance to maximize operational uptime.
Conduct thorough quality assurance inspections, including deburring and verifying dimensions with precision measuring tools.
Maintain accurate production documentation, including inspection logs, travelers, and digital control file management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in quality management system protocols and team updates.
Promote a culture of safety and efficiency by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and assisting with material handling as needed.
Provide technical mentorship to junior operators to elevate overall team performance and skill sets.

Required Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2+ years of hands-on experience with CNC lathe operation and programming.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical schematics.
Strong command of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Solid mathematical aptitude for calculating fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality verification.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and optimize machining processes.
Familiarity with ISO-9001 quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
