Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager provides strategic leadership for the successful execution of Mosaic Properties & Homes' luxury custom home construction projects. This position oversees multiple high-value residential projects while leading, mentoring, and developing Project Managers and field personnel to ensure consistent execution of company standards.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for construction performance, customer satisfaction, quality control, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and operational excellence across all assigned custom home projects. This role serves as the senior field leader and primary escalation point for complex construction, scheduling, homeowner, and subcontractor issues while fostering a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers to achieve consistent project execution and professional growth.
- Provide technical expertise and daily guidance throughout every phase of construction.
- Assign projects and workloads based upon complexity, staffing, and experience.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop improvement plans.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training construction personnel.
- Foster a culture centered on accountability, integrity, customer service, and teamwork.
- Promote consistent project management processes and company standards.
Project Leadership
- Oversee multiple luxury custom home projects from pre-construction through homeowner occupancy and warranty transition.
- Develop and maintain master construction schedules.
- Monitor project budgets while protecting company gross margins.
- Coordinate resources across multiple active projects.
- Review project progress and proactively resolve issues affecting schedule, quality, or cost.
- Lead regular production meetings with Project Managers and company leadership.
- Ensure projects consistently meet company quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
Construction Operations
- Coordinate field operations with Sales, Estimating, Purchasing, Design, Permitting, Warranty, and Accounting.
- Oversee permitting, inspections, change orders, and project documentation.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to verify:
- Quality workmanship
- Schedule compliance
- Safety
- Jobsite organization
- Trade coordination
- Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, OSHA requirements, and local regulations.
- Resolve construction issues before they impact production schedules.
Customer Experience
- Support Project Managers during homeowner meetings, selections, walk-throughs, and project updates.
- Serve as the escalation point for customer concerns requiring senior leadership.
- Ensure every homeowner receives an exceptional custom home building experience.
- Assist the Warranty Department with complex post-closing issues when necessary.
Trade Partner Management
- Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Evaluate trade partner performance based on:
- Quality

- Resolve scheduling conflicts and trade coordination issues.
- Maintain accountability for workmanship and production expectations.
Financial Management
- Monitor construction budgets and overall project financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce construction costs.
- Protect company profitability through effective planning and execution.
- Assist leadership with forecasting labor needs, production schedules, and resource allocation.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and maintain company quality standards.
- Perform milestone quality inspections throughout construction.
- Ensure deficiencies are corrected before completion.
- Maintain model homes and showcase projects to company standards.
- Promote a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce all OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct routine safety inspections.
- Ensure regulatory compliance throughout all phases of construction.
- Maintain inspection records, permits, and required documentation.
Operational Excellence
- Develop and improve construction processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Standardize scheduling practices and project management methods.
- Track production metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of residential construction management experience.
- Minimum 3 years leading Project Managers or construction teams.
- Extensive experience managing luxury custom homes or high-end residential construction.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects.
Knowledge & Skills

Physical Requirements
- Frequent travel between multiple active construction sites.
- Ability to walk uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders.
