Full Job Description

Part-Time Receptionist / Customer Service

Candlewood East Marina is looking for two friendly, dependable people to join our team as Part-Time Receptionists.

Are you comfortable talking with people, answering the phone, and helping customers find the right person or department? Are you organized, professional, and able to stay productive without constant supervision?

This is primarily a front desk and phone position, with some light administrative work. Training will be provided, and marine or boating experience is not required.

We're looking for people who are reliable, friendly, organized, and take pride in providing a great customer experience.

What You'll Do

Answer incoming phone calls and direct customers to the appropriate department or employee
Greet customers and visitors when they arrive
Take accurate messages and make sure they reach the appropriate person
Assist customers with basic questions and direct more technical questions to the appropriate department
Perform light administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, paperwork, and other office duties
Help keep the front desk and customer areas clean and organized
Handle customer information with professionalism and confidentiality
Provide a friendly and professional first impression of Candlewood East Marina

What We're Looking For

We're looking for the right person more than the perfect résumé.

You may be a great fit if you:

Communicate clearly and professionally
Are friendly, patient, and helpful with customers
Are dependable and take your schedule seriously
Can stay organized while handling multiple small tasks
Pay attention to details, especially when taking messages or customer information
Can work independently without needing constant supervision
Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Are comfortable learning basic computer and office systems

Previous customer service or reception experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.

Boating or marine experience is not required, but is a plus.

Schedule

We are hiring two part-time employees to provide coverage Tuesday through Sunday.

The position requires the ability to work full days, with flexibility regarding which days of the week you work.

For example, one person could work Tuesday–Friday while another works Saturday–Sunday, but we're open to other combinations depending on availability.

Current business hours:

Wednesday–Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM

This is not a seasonal position. We're looking for people who are interested in continuing with us through the fall and winter.

Our receptionist is often the first person a customer speaks with when they call or the first person they meet when they visit. We're looking for someone who understands the importance of making people feel welcome and helping them get where they need to go.
