Front Desk (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Concierge Dentistry South Florida – Hollywood, FL

Overview

Join our growing dental practice as a Dental Insurance Coordinator / Billing Specialist / Front Desk Assistant and become a key part of our patient experience and daily operations.

This is NOT an entry-level front desk position. 3+ years Experience is required. We are specifically seeking someone with front desk experience, who is also comfortable handling responsibilities in dental insurance and sales in a fast-paced, high-standard dental office.

The ideal candidate must be highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing insurance workflows, billing responsibilities, patient scheduling, and communication professionally and efficiently.

We are a team-oriented office that values accountability, strong communication, professionalism, and a positive attitude.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE — PLEASE READ CAREFULLYONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE:

7+ YEARS of RECENT dental front desk and insurance experience
Strong DENTRIX experience is REQUIRED
Fluent in BOTH English and Spanish
Previous sales experience
PPO insurance knowledge
Understanding of:
Insurance verification and breakdowns
Claim submission and tracking
Insurance aging reports
EOB posting and reconciliation
Appeals and denied claims
Coordination of benefits
Downgrades and write-offs
Pre-authorizations / predeterminations
Insurance narratives and attachments
Scheduling and confirming patients
Treatment plan presentation
Patient collections and financial discussions
Strong knowledge of ADA dental procedure codes
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
Excellent phone and patient communication skills

Front Desk Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out professionally
Answer phones and manage a multi-line system with excellent phone etiquette
Schedule appointments and maintain organized daily flow
Confirm appointments and maintain communication with patients
Collect payments and patient balances
Manage patient records and ensure accuracy
Support treatment plan presentation when needed
Coordinate with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front desk team members
Help maintain smooth office operations throughout the day

Insurance & Billing

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits accurately
Submit electronic insurance claims if asked
Track and follow up aggressively on unpaid insurance claims
Post insurance payments and EOBs in Dentrix if asked
Resolve denied, delayed, and rejected claims if asked
Submit appeals and supporting documentation if asked
Maintain insurance aging reports and collections follow-up if asked
Review treatment plans and insurance estimates for accuracy if asked
Ensure x-rays, narratives, perio charts, and attachments are complete and submitted properly
Help maintain low accounts receivable aging

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience as a Dental Assistant
Experience building treatment plans
Sales-oriented mindset and ability to support case acceptance
Experience with Curve Dental or additional dental software

Additional Expectations

Must be willing to monitor and respond to office calls/texts after hours when assigned
Availability for occasional on-call coverage using a cellphone is required
Ability to handle patient inquiries professionally outside regular business hours
Details regarding on-call schedule and compensation will be discussed during the interview process

ONLY candidates with verifiable dental office experience, strong Dentrix knowledge, and 7+ years of dental experience will be considered.
