Full Job Description

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an ambitious, qualified Inventory Control Manager to oversee and perform inventory counts, analyze and investigate discrepancies and monitor accuracy of transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the planning and completion of physical inventories, cycle counts (random or scheduled), and scheduled audits. Performs regular wall to-wall inventory counts and recounts as needed daily.
Investigates discrepancies, analyzes and corrects accordingly.
Ensures the completion of the cycle counting processes throughout the entire warehouse and ensures that inventory records are compiled in an accurate and compete manner.
Responds to inquiries about quantities on hand and any potential discrepancies.
Audits inventory location system.
Develops KPIs and provides reporting of these results.
Develops processes and procedures to drive efficiencies across various locations.
Trouble shoot and help resolve order issues and communicate with the Customer Service Representatives as needed. Use independent judgment to make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, clients and the company.
Keep Management informed of significant operating issues and make recommendations for corrective action.
Performs duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed.
Accurately plan/adjust headcount to meet department’s objectives.
Maintains an effective working relationship with all employees.
Partner with Department Managers to achieve overall company business goals.
Accomplishes organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Inventory Control Manager with a focus on physical inventories, cycle counting, auditing and using all warehouse machinery (Stand Up Forklift/Reach Truck, Order Selector and Scissor Lift).
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a 3PL multi-client distribution environment
Must be able to multitask in a dynamic team environment, with little direction, and be highly detailed oriented with strong organization skills and a safety-first mindset.
Highly proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. Primarily Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) including Pivot Tables and VLookups
Representing Market Speed by having great attendance and punctuality.
Ability to learn quickly and a willingness to ask appropriate questions as needed.
Must be able to stand, lift and walk throughout the entire shift.
Ability and willingness to keep and maintain confidentiality.
Customer service-oriented mind set, strong work ethic and flexibility to work OT as needed.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter – Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid problem solving & decision-making skills
The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with both external customers and internal departments

PREFERRED SKILLS

Background working with health and beauty products.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours. This position may require long hours and some weekend work as necessary to meet the business obligations.

This role also requires the ability to lift items, bend, or stand as necessary.

The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse/manufacturing setting. Candidates should be able to life and carry up to 50 lbs. and comply with OSHA standards.
