ARM Automation, Inc. is an engineering firm that designs and manufactures highly custom factory automation equipment. SplashBotix, an affiliated business, provides control systems and components for water fountains. The majority of ARM's team are mechanical, software, and electrical engineers and technicians. Our machines are shipped all over the world for a wide range of industries including packaging, food, medical, aerospace, and entertainment. ARM was incorporated in 1993 and is owned and managed by the founders. Job Description

Part-time (30-40 hours/wk) position with flexibility in hours worked and type of tasks performed. As with many small businesses, employees at ARM "wear many hats" and thus we are open to adjusting the job description based on an exceptional applicant's background, skills, and interests.

Base (Minimum) Responsibilities

Assist with order processing and bookkeeping
Follow-up on Purchase Order status
Receive packages, verify against POs and place components in inventory.
Package and prepare small items for shipment. Few per day.
Open and sort incoming mail.
Greet visitors at the front door.
Arrange employee travel (flights, rental cars, and hotels).
Order office supplies as needed.
Arrange truck freight shipments

Optional (Advanced) Responsibilities

More advanced bookkeeping tasks
Obtain quotes from vendors
Maintain MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) library
Create Purchase Orders
Reconcile credit card statements
Scan and enter travel/expense receipts

Required Skills, Experience, and Attributes

Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
Friendly, easy-going personality. ARM is a low-key office environment with minimal drama.
Self-directed. Takes initiative to identify tasks that need to be done. Able to work without constant supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
US work authorization.
Clean background and drug test.
A minimum of 1 yr experience in a related job.

Hours and Location

Ideal hours are 10 am - 3 pm, 5 days a week, but schedule is flexible.
Hours may vary based on project workload.
In-office between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs.

Compensation

Hourly position starting range from $25-30/hr, greatly depending on skill set.
Participation in ARM’s retirement plan in the 2nd year of employment.
Worker’s compensation and disability insurance

Job Type: Part-time (with potential to transition to full-time based on skills and performance)

Southwest Austin, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
