Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Part-Time or Full-Time)

$52-$55 per hour + paid administrative time

Parallel Play is growing, and we're looking for a pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.

Located in Stanley Marketplace, Parallel Play is a sensory-based pediatric therapy gym that uses movement, play, sensory processing, and meaningful relationships to help children build confidence, independence, and participation in everyday life.

We believe that movement is therapeutic, that families deserve support, and that therapists do their best work when they are trusted, challenged, and surrounded by a strong team.

Parallel Play was founded by pediatric occupational therapist Rachel Lawrence with a vision of creating the kind of therapy environment many clinicians wish existed when they entered the profession.

Today, we serve children ages 2-18 with a variety of developmental, sensory, emotional, and physical challenges. Our sessions blend evidence-based occupational therapy with movement, sensory experiences, play, and parent collaboration to help children reach their fullest potential.

The Therapist We're Looking For

Has experience or interest in movement-based activities such as gymnastics, sports, dance, climbing, martial arts, coaching, teaching, adaptive recreation, or similar fields

Prior gymnastics or sports experience is appreciated but not required. We are happy to train the right therapist who is excited to learn.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist at Parallel Play, you will:

Evaluate and treat pediatric clients with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and emotional regulation needs
Develop individualized treatment plans
Utilize movement, play, and sensory-based interventions to support client goals
Collaborate closely with families and caregivers
Provide home programming and recommendations
Complete evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and re-evaluations
Participate in team collaboration and professional development
Help shape future programs and service offerings as our practice continues to grow

Qualifications

Required:

Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
NBCOT certification
Colorado OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Pediatric experience
Level II pediatric fieldwork experience
Experience working with neurodivergent children and families
Experience with sensory processing, emotional regulation, and movement-based interventions
Coaching, teaching, sports, gymnastics, dance, recreation, or related experience

Schedule

Part-time or full-time opportunities available
Minimum commitment of three days per week
Afternoon availability required
Friday and/or Saturday availability strongly preferred
Opportunity to grow caseload over time

Clinic hours:Monday-Saturday8:00 AM-6:30 PM
