Job description:

Are you the inventory mastermind who can keep products moving, shelves stocked, and operations humming without missing a beat? Chocolove is looking for an Inventory Manager who combines analytical thinking, operational know-how, and has a focus on efficiency to drive inventory excellence across the business. The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the complete inventory lifecycle within the facility, ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role partners closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Shipping, Finance, and Quality teams to support uninterrupted operations and accurate inventory management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Manage the full inventory lifecycle, including raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and inventory transactions.
Maintain accurate inventory records within NetSuite, including item locations, inventory adjustments, and cycle count results.
Lead and oversee physical inventory counts and cycle count programs; investigate variances and partner with Finance/Cost Accounting to ensure timely reconciliation.
· Review production schedules and inventory requirements to ensure adequate material availability and proactively identify potential shortages or discrepancies.
Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to support production planning and inventory optimization.
Create, release, and monitor work orders and inventory pick orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of production requirements.
Verify inventory picks for accuracy, specifications, and quantities.
Review and reconcile production output, raw material consumption, and completed work orders.
Monitor inventory performance metrics, including reorder points, material usage, FIFO compliance, spoilage, stock variances, shortages, and quality-related inventory issues.
Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports to support procurement in operational decision-making.
Support warehouse operations as needed, including receiving, inventory movement, picking, and shipping activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy, inventory turns, process efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, inventory control standards, and workplace safety regulations.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES / REQIREMENTS

Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, inventory control processes, and warehouse operations.
Experience managing inventory within an ERP system; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
Proven ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
4+ years of inventory management, inventory control, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Food manufacturing or food production industry experience preferred.
Experience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and ERP inventory management required.
Forklift certification preferred.

A reasonable estimate of the base rate range for this job is $85,000 to $98,000 per year.
