Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals that meet safety standards and dietary needs. Your culinary skills will help ensure our residents enjoy nutritious and appealing dishes in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and menu plans
Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety management standards
Follow safety standards in production to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Support meal preparation for special events or catering needs as required
Ensure food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards in the food industry
Collaborate with team members to deliver timely service while maintaining high-quality food presentation

Requirements

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, cooking, and meal assembly
Familiarity with safety standards in production and food handling procedures
Strong knife skills and slicing techniques essential for efficient prep work
Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and teamwork in accordance with industry best practices
Experience in senior living is preferred, but not required
Availability daytimes during the week and on weekends is required. You won't work every weekend, but we need the availability.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
