Full Job Description

Our Peer Services Program involves community outreach to include education on overdose prevention including Narcan training, outreach to homeless populations for overdose prevention and linking to community resources.

The Daily Operations Supervisor is expected to foster a reputation for excellence, responsiveness, conscientious care, accurate and timely reports and paperwork, building of teamwork, in a personable and professional manner at all times. Must be extremely high energy and self motivated with the ability to work in a diverse environment. Must be able to engage people where they are, on the street, at community sites and at events to provide overdose prevention tools and linkage to care. This position supervises our deflection and peer activities, maintains supplies, and documentation, and collaborates with partners to improve community health and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years of experience in an outreach substance abuse and/or mental health program with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory and project/grant management experience preferred. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of Nicasa’s auto insurance carrier.

· Acting in a consultative manner with staff and senior management

Duties/Responsibilities

· Coordination of services to ensure all goals and objectives are met and implemented according to the grant or contract.

· Complete reporting for grants and contracts

· Management of all areas of the project including support services, staff documentation/reports and community awareness which include but are not limited to the following: supervising the outreach staff, accurate documentation of activities, reporting to referral sources as necessary, monitoring expenditures; ordering of supplies; and coordination of vehicle usage and safety.

· Provide informational presentations to community groups and coalitions, community canvassing, in-person and virtual group classes

· Arrange and provide as necessary coverage to ensure all scheduled and unscheduled services are provided.

· De-escalate situations where clients, staff, or guests are in distress, maintaining a respectful and helpful attitude at all times.

· Conduct and document regular staff meetings, assigning agenda to other staff as needed to ensure meetings occur even in the event of an absence.

· Engage in staff development, helping to identify areas of need for ongoing supervision, further training, and/or corrective action.

· Monitor staff productivity and engage in problem-solving, corrective action, when staff are under-performing.

· Conduct periodic performance appraisals with program staff, documenting progress, areas for improvement, and plans for corrective action.

· Respond to staff, client, referral source, or other stakeholder feedback, consulting with supervisor as needed, and communicating to supervisor regarding feedback and response.

· At all times, assist staff in adjusting and adapting to new policies or procedures, and seek to diffuse any malcontent amongst staff. Demonstrating a positive and cooperative attitude is imperative in assisting staff to adapt to the evolving needs of the clients, agency, and field.

· Assist in Emergency Preparedness activities, incident report writing, and other reports related to significant incidents.

· Ensure program and staff adheres to all Agency policies and procedures

Salary Range:

$55 - $70,000 annually
