Full Job Description

Position Overview:

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management, control, and optimization of the inventory of spinal implants, instruments, and related surgical products. This role ensures that all products are in stock, organized, and ready for surgery or shipment out of territory, enabling the company to meet client needs efficiently. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in medical devices, particularly in the field of orthopedics or spine, is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Control & Management:

o Maintain accurate inventory records for spinal implants, instruments, and related components.

o Track inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to replenish stock based on demand forecasts and lead times.

o Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.

o Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.

2. Order Fulfillment:

o Coordinate with sales representatives, hospitals, and surgical centers to ensure timely delivery of spinal implants and instruments for scheduled surgeries.

o Manage consignment inventory placed at hospital locations, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels.

3. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:

o Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners to manage lead times and ensure the timely receipt of inventory.

o Optimize storage solutions for efficient use of warehouse space, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

o Manage returns, replacements, and repairs of implants and instruments as needed.

4. Reporting & Analysis:

o Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor stock levels, slow-moving products, and product expiration.

o Identify trends to optimize inventory management.

o Implement inventory management best practices and identify opportunities for improvement.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance:

o Ensure inventory is managed in compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and company quality control protocols.

o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for medical devices.

o Ensure that all implants and surgical instruments are stored, handled, and transported following strict quality guidelines.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management,

· Experience:

o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in medical devices or healthcare.

o Experience with spinal implants, orthopedic products, or similar high-value medical devices is a strong advantage.

o Proven experience using inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, ImplantBase).

· Skills:

o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

o Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

o Knowledge of FDA, ISO, and other regulatory guidelines specific to medical devices.

o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

o Strong communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, sales representatives, and external partners.

Key Competencies:

· Proactive and able to anticipate inventory needs based on usage trends.

· Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure.

· Strong leadership skills to oversee inventory and guide best practices.

· High level of integrity and accountability, especially regarding inventory accuracy.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changes, and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs as needed.

· Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks related to inventory management for extended periods.

· Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and maintaining proper safety protocols.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
