Position Summary

Premier Transportation is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter with a strong background in recruiting for the transportation (trucking)/logistics industry. Located at our Corporate office in Forest Park, Georgia, this position is an in-office role. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the industry's unique talent needs and challenges and possess a proficiency with several recruiting platforms.

The HR Recruiter will manage the full lifecycle recruitment process for administrative and corporate (non-driver) positions within the transportation industry. This role involves identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet our Company's administrative staffing requirements and support our growth objectives. Due to the small size of the HR team, this role also requires hands-on human resources support, including onboarding coordination, compliance assistance, and employee relations support as needed. The ideal candidate has experience recruiting in fast-paced, regulated environments and a strong working knowledge of HR fundamentals. This role will report to the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination for administrative and corporate roles.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and hiring priorities.
Strong proficiency in Indeed, LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates using job boards, networking, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
Ensure recruitment practices comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Track and document recruiting activities to ensure consistency, compliance, and audit readiness (including numbers of contacts, screenings, interviews, and hires).
Provide regular reports to management on recruitment status, open requisitions, and hiring progress.
Suggest innovative recruiting opportunities and process improvements to increase efficiency, talent pool, candidate experience, and retention.

HR Support (Small Team Environment)

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, orientation coordination, and system entry.
Support HR compliance efforts, including recordkeeping and policy adherence.
Provide general HR support as needed, including responding to employee inquiries and assisting with HR projects.
Collaborate closely with HR Team and HR leadership to support broader human resources initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3–5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in transportation, trucking, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or a similarly regulated industry.
Demonstrated experience recruiting administrative, technical, and specialized non-driver roles.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of industry-specific roles, qualifications, and skill sets.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and emerging HR recruiting technologies.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and ability to meet metrics and hiring goals.
Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively and professionally in high performance, developing, and fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

Prior experience supporting general HR functions in a small or lean HR team.
SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR certification (or in progress).
Experience supporting multi-state workforces.

Physical & Work Environment (if applicable)

Primarily office-based with standard business hours.
