Full Job Description

Fibergrate Composite Structures, manufacturing company located locally in Stephenville is looking for a Molder Operator for 1st & 2nd Shift!

You will start out as a Temp --> Moving to Full-time after probationary period.

Overview:

The Molder operates molds and equipment used in molding reinforced plastics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow all company safe work practices and procedures.
Position requires the ability to count, measure, weigh and mix materials accurately.
Position requires heavy lifting on a daily basis of 50 pounds and up to 100 lbs.
Position requires quality oriented, safety minded and service-oriented individuals.
Position requires learning/knowledge of hazardous material handling.
Preparation of molding equipment for daily operations.
Responsible for preparing reinforcing medium and resin for molding.
A molder loads reinforcing medium and resin of prescribed amount into molding equipment and carries out prescribed molding cycles. He/She makes minor adjustments to equipment, charge and/or cycle to obtain a quality product. The molder then unloads the part from the molding equipment, ensuring the part meets quality standards.
This position requires to learn and understand Fibergrate mixes and material identification.
Housekeeping in and around molds, buildings on a daily basis, and where ever it is required.
Proper and safe use of all equipment on a daily basis.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

Effective verbal and written communications in English preferred.
Basic reading and writing competencies in English preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
Possess the ability to utilize the training provided to make sound and safe judgements.
Basic arithmetic skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk, stand, and climb stairs for 8–12-hour shifts.
Must be able to use hand trucks and carts to push and pull loads > 100 lbs.
Must have ability to lift and carry loads ≥ 50 lbs.
Must have ability to safely mount and dismount forklifts.
Position requires dexterity of hands and fingers to use hand/power tools and fasten items.

Work Environment:

Usually in an indoor environment but with regular exposure to outdoor environments such as dust, summer temperatures, winter temperatures, and periodic foul weather. Stair usage, ladder usage and uneven surfaces should be expected.
