Our mission encompasses a comprehensive range of care options, including Residential Care, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing, all delivered by our professional 24-hour staffing.

Summary

As a Medical Biller at Bellaken Garden and Skilled Nursing Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate billing processes for our healthcare services. Providers including Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO insurances. This position is essential in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional care while maintaining financial integrity.

Responsibilities

Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and timely.
Billing for services covered by Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO insurances.
Billing for co-insurances.
Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing.
Utilize ICD-10 and other coding systems to ensure proper billing practices.
Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain organized medical records to support billing processes.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify patient information as needed.
Respond to requests for additional information in a timely manner,
Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.
Assist in training staff on billing procedures and compliance standards.
Interacting with Responsible Parties - Chinese-speaking a plus.

Qualifications

Proven experience in medical billing or coding within a healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems such as ICD-10 and DRG, including use of electronic medical record systems.
Familiarity with medical office operations and insurance claims processing.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance companies.
Experience with medical collections is a plus but not mandatory.
Proficient in using billing software and electronic health record systems.
