Director of Sales & Operations

Salary: $90,000–$140,000 per year + Performance Bonus

Are You Ready to Build Something Bigger?

An established and rapidly growing specialty retail company is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead sales, operations, and business growth at a high-volume retail location.

This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for a leader who enjoys building teams, increasing revenue, creating accountability, and developing systems that drive long-term success.

The ideal candidate has successfully managed commissioned sales teams, understands retail operations, and has a proven history of growing revenue while developing people.

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a company with aggressive expansion plans and significant opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of daily store operations
Recruit, hire, train, and coach a high-performing commissioned sales team
Drive revenue growth through effective leadership and sales accountability
Monitor KPIs, close rates, average ticket, and team performance
Create a culture focused on customer service, urgency, and results
Oversee merchandising, inventory flow, warehouse coordination, and deliveries
Partner with marketing to increase customer traffic and improve conversion
Develop and implement operational systems that improve efficiency
Manage budgets, expenses, and overall profitability
Prepare the organization for future multi-location expansion

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of retail management experience
Proven success leading commissioned sales teams
Strong background in sales coaching and performance management
Demonstrated ability to grow revenue and improve operational performance
Experience managing KPIs and financial performance
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience in furniture, appliances, mattresses, automotive, home improvement, or other specialty retail strongly preferred
