Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across various clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical procedures, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
Monitor patients' conditions closely, manage acute pain, and respond promptly to emergencies such as airway obstructions or critical vital sign changes.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results.
Provide specialized care in areas such as ophthalmology, geriatrics, behavioral health, or post-acute care settings; including wound suturing and ostomy care.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with patient needs.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
Support discharge planning by educating patients on medication management, wound care, or chronic disease management.
Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
Participate in ongoing training on EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner to optimize documentation efficiency.

Qualifications

Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
Demonstrated experience in acute care environments including ICU, emergency room, or hospital medicine; trauma center experience preferred.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to diverse patient populations.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is desirable.
Ability to perform complex procedures such as tube feeding management, ventilator support, or dialysis assistance when applicable.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Prior experience in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or hospice settings is beneficial.
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and familiarity with infection control protocols enhances your suitability for this role.
