90 Degree Benefits Data Entry Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Associate to join our Third-Party Administrator (TPA) team supporting health benefit programs. In this role, you will review and input medical claims accurately and efficiently for the Claims Analyst.

Local Candidates with Data Entry experience are preferred but qualified remote candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Accurately input medical, dental, and vision claims into the LuminX claims administration system for review and adjudication by Claims Analysts.
Review incoming claims documentation for completeness.
Ensure claims are properly categorized and assigned within established processing guidelines.
Enter and upload correspondence, including provider documentation, medical records, explanation of benefits (EOBs), appeals, and supporting claim documentation into the LuminX claims system.
Organize and prepare electronic claim batches for efficient routing to Claims Analysts.
Verify the accuracy of indexed information and resolve discrepancies when appropriate before forwarding claims for processing.
Maintain established productivity, turnaround time, and quality standards while processing high volumes of claims documentation.
Protect confidential member and provider information by adhering to HIPAA regulations and company privacy policies.
Collaborate with Claims Analysts and other internal departments to resolve indexing or documentation issues.
Maintain organized electronic records to support efficient claims processing and retrieval.
Identify and communicate processing issues, system errors, or workflow improvements to management.·
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn claims administration software, including LuminX.
Previous Data Entry Experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent typing skills with a minimum of 55 words per minute with a focus on 10-key typing speed for rapid data entry.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
Basic math skills for verifying numerical data and performing simple calculations efficiently.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with medical, dental, or vision claims.
Familiarity with healthcare terminology and insurance documentation.
Previous administrative, data entry, or claims support experience preferred.
Experience in the healthcare, health insurance, third-party administrator (TPA), or employee benefits industry is preferred.
