Full Job Description

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources activities for a growing team in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing employee support, recruiting coordination, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. The person in this role will help create a positive employee experience while ensuring records, payroll inputs, and HR processes are handled accurately and professionally.

Responsibilities:

Guide new team members through the onboarding process, including employment documentation, work authorization verification, and entry into required HR systems.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support selection for open positions.
Administer employee-focused programs such as recognition initiatives, training activities, safety-related coordination, and development efforts.
Support employee relations matters by participating in investigations, disciplinary discussions, and separation processes as needed.
Oversee unemployment claim activity and maintain related documentation and account information with accuracy and timeliness.
Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll transactions while helping ensure employee data and pay-related records remain current.
Maintain organized and accurate HR files, records, and system updates to support compliance and reporting needs.
Communicate clearly with managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, concerns, and ongoing initiatives.
Provide daily administrative and operational support across HR functions, including assistance to HR leadership and other assigned duties.
Experience supporting core human resources functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain employee information accurately across systems.
Familiarity with payroll processing practices for multiple pay schedules, including weekly and semi-monthly cycles.
Ability to assist with recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interview coordination, and collaboration with hiring managers.
Understanding of employment documentation, compliance practices, and work authorization verification procedures such as E-Verify.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to address HR matters professionally and constructively.
Highly organized approach to recordkeeping, documentation, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
