Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, detail‑oriented Assistant Bookkeeper & Inventory Support to support our financial operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records, ensuring smooth accounting workflows, and assisting with both routine and specialized bookkeeping tasks. You will also play a key role in tax filing preparation and inventory management, helping maintain financial integrity across our retail and custom jewelry operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain accurate general ledger entries using accounting software. We are looking specifically for QuickBooks experience.
Excel Spreadsheet experience is a must.
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and timeliness.
Support month‑end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
Assist with financial report writing, budgeting, and forecasting to support management decisions.
Prepare and organize documentation for tax filing, including sales tax, quarterly filings, and year‑end reporting.
Monitor, track, and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring alignment between physical stock and accounting records.
Assist with inventory audits, valuation, and loss‑prevention documentation.
Collaborate with management to maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with QuickBooks and other accounting software is essential.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting standards.
Experience with double‑entry bookkeeping, excel sheets, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
Tax preparation or tax filing experience is highly preferred.
Ability to perform accurate account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
Experience with inventory tracking or retail inventory systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail; proficiency in 10‑key typing for data entry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for financial reporting and team collaboration.
