Full Job Description

Overview
The Fence Installation Foreman is the on-site working leader responsible for ensuring each fence installation is completed safely, efficiently, and to Equinox Fence’s quality standards. This role leads a small crew while also performing installation work, including digging post holes, setting posts, fabricating sections, operating equipment, and completing repairs as needed. The Field Supervisor manages daily jobsite operations, trains and mentors installers, and serves as the primary field contact for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide general labor as required such as digging holes, mixing concrete, and loading, transporting, carrying and installing fence materials.
Safely use general construction hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Work in a clean and efficient manner keeping the jobsite safe and productive.
Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by working scheduled days and showing up on time and ready to work.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn in order to grow with the company.

Leadership & Crew Management

Lead, coach, and mentor the installation crew to consistently deliver high-quality work.
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and keep the team on schedule.
Provide hands-on training and work alongside the crew on installations and repairs.
Model Equinox Fence’s core values and maintain a positive, professional jobsite culture.

Jobsite Operations

Perform fence installation tasks such as digging holes, setting posts, building sections, and operating equipment.
Review job packets, plans, and materials before arriving on site.
Coordinate truck, trailer, tools, materials, and equipment needs.
Ensure installations meet specifications, drawings, and quality expectations.
Troubleshoot issues quickly and escalate when necessary.

Customer Interaction

Greet customers professionally and set a positive tone for the job.
Communicate progress, address questions, and resolve concerns respectfully.
Represent Equinox Fence with confidence and clarity.

Quality Assurance

Inspect work throughout the day to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
Verify measurements, depths, alignment, and materials used.
Conduct final walkthroughs and quality checks with customers.

Communication & Reporting

Provide updates to office staff and project coordinators as needed.
Share performance concerns or coaching opportunities with leadership.

Qualifications

5 + years of fence installation experience; leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
Ability to perform all physical tasks related to fence installation and repair, including lifting 80+ lbs and working outdoors year-round.
Ability to read and interpret job packets, plans, and measurements.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate tools/equipment safely.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
