Full Job Description

Line Leaders – 2nd shift

Hours -3.30pm – 11.30pm

Location: West Caldwell, NJ

Direct Hire

Line Leader will be responsible for the overall operation of the production line assigned to (including packaging components, personnel, and documentation).

Essential job functions:

· Must follow all cGMP’s and relevant SOPs.

· Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their individual activities in

contributing to commitment to food safety.

· Responsible for all matters pertaining to the set-up of production line.

· Performs line release functions during start-up in Packaging operations.

· Make sure the proper packaging components are always staged by the production

line.

· Maintains on-line monitoring of finished products, i.e. weight checks, label checks,

lot & exp dating, during packaging operations.

· Assign line operators to their work positions as required daily basis.

· Continuously trains, monitors, and support production line throughout

the shift.

· Fill out the packaging batch record in a clean, timely, and accurate fashion.

· Responsible for providing accurate reconciliation information (received, returned,

and wasted components) to the production coordinators.

· Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of production line.

· Train and monitor line personnel in performance of their duties.

· Should have the experience/ability to run multiple operational production lines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

· Must be able to apply the information contained in the product specification to the

operation. Problem solving skills. Maintain quality, and safety standards.

· Be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs.

· Assigning line workers and monitoring quality and productivity.

· Decision making environment, Strong Interaction with Supervision and Quality.

· High school or equivalent; some college a plus.

· Packaging line operation experience.

· Must have adequate verbal communication, math, and reading skills.

· Have ability to train and lead packaging production line.

· Should have 6 months to 2 years of line experience showing the aptitude to

understand the details on how to set the line and personnel

Pay rate is based on experience and shift.
