Full Job Description

Accountant Junior or Finance Analyst I

Purpose:

This Accounting/Finance position will work and learn directly from Senior Management. The position has direct responsibility for Daily AP, Cash and Payment Management/ Reconciliation as well as general ledger account reconciliation.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

Preparing customers disbursements
Creating wire templates
Activating Customers payment schedule
Accruing expenses; tracking prepaid expenses
Maintaining vendor files including Form 1099
Prepare payment of employee expense reports
Prepare monthly commission reports and payments

General Ledger

Support Quickbooks management
Preparing and entering weekly and monthly journal entries
Analysis and reconciliation of daily transactions
Support month-end, Quarter-end and year-end closings

After 6 to 12 months this role will receive training in technical accounting from Sr Accounting Managers/ CFO to learn and be able to provide support with:

Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
Monthly expense variance analysis
Assuring proper cut-offs are achieved
Preparing draft of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies

Job Requirements:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Confidentiality
Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of detail in a high-volume environment
Schedule driven and works effectively under tight deadlines
A strong sense of urgency; deadline-oriented
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Ability to work independently as well as with others
Must be proactive and take initiative
