Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator (with Dental Office Management experience) to join our growing dental practice in San Diego!

Office hours are Monday - Friday

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned dental professional with strong treatment coordination experience and a solid understanding of dental office operations. Candidates with prior Dental Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, or Lead Front Office/Treatment Coordinator experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is confident discussing complex treatment plans and financial arrangements, highly organized, proactive, and capable of supporting both patient care coordination and overall practice operations.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome patients while creating a positive patient experience
Coordinate and manage specialty treatment schedules efficiently
Present and educate patients on treatment plans and financial arrangements
Review insurance benefits, perform detailed insurance breakdowns, and explain coverage clearly to patients
Coordinate insurance verifications, pre-authorizations, and claims processing
Track unscheduled treatment and support case acceptance initiatives
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Prepare daily schedules and patient charts for clinical teams
Verify payment methods and collect payments as needed
Handle follow-up communication and appointment reminders
Support overall front office workflow and practice operations
Assist with schedule optimization, patient retention efforts, and operational efficiency
Partner with clinical and administrative team members to ensure practice goals are achieved
Ensure patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator, Office Manager, Assistant Office Manager, or similar leadership role within a dental practice
Strong understanding of treatment planning, case presentation, and patient financing
Advanced knowledge of PPO insurance, fee-for-service practices, and insurance breakdowns
Experience overseeing or supporting front office operations, scheduling, and team workflow
Comfortable discussing large treatment plans and financial arrangements with patients
Strong leadership mentality with the ability to take initiative and problem-solve independently
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
Eaglesoft experience preferred
