Full Job Description

Beattie Padovano, LLC seeks a dedicated legal administrative assistant to assist the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. The legal administrative assistant’s responsibilities will include:

· Communication with clients in person, over the phone, and via email

· Assist in preparation of briefs, motions and other pleadings.

· Assist in searches and extraction of information from court-related databases and websites and with firm’s eDiscovery procedures.

· Arrange for service of subpoenas and summons using firm preferred process servers.

· Manage the Litigation Practice Group calendar.

· E-File and obtain documents using PACER, NYSCEF, New Jersey eCourts and other court resources.

· Interact with personnel from multiple departments and at various levels in the firm.

· Assist with department projects as needed and perform other work-related duties as assigned by attorneys and manager.

Candidates must have the following qualifications and skills:

· Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Experience working in a fast-paced legal environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working at a law firm.

· Experience with PACER, NYSCEF, New Jersey eCourts, and similar filing systems is preferred.
