In our brick-and-mortar clinic, we offer advanced diagnostics, surgery, and radiology in a fully open-concept space designed around transparency, comfort, and trust.

Position Overview

We are excited to welcome a combined Practice Manager and Veterinary Technician role to our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys supporting people, improving daily operations, and remaining actively involved in patient care. The Practice Manager/Veterinary Technician will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice while also performing clinical technician duties as needed. The ideal candidate is an organized and approachable leader who can balance administrative responsibilities with direct patient care.

This is a working management position—not a strictly administrative role.

Practice Management Responsibilities

Support daily clinic and mobile operations to promote an efficient workflow
Lead, coach, and support veterinary technicians, assistants, and client service team members
Coordinate employee scheduling and help maintain appropriate staffing levels
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations
Promote accountability while addressing team concerns professionally and consistently
Help develop, implement, and maintain practice policies and standard operating procedures
Monitor inventory and help control operational expenses
Support payroll, timekeeping, PTO administration, and other basic HR functions
Facilitate team meetings and maintain clear communication among leadership, doctors, and support staff
Assist with client concerns and service recovery in a compassionate and professional manner
Help monitor practice performance, workflow, productivity, and client experience
Support compliance with OSHA, DEA, PACFA, and applicable veterinary regulations

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
Perform patient restraint using compassionate, low-stress handling techniques
Obtain patient histories and communicate clearly with pet parents
Collect and process laboratory samples
Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
Prepare patients for surgery and dentistry
Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery
Perform dental radiographs and other technician duties within the candidate’s training and legal scope of practice
Administer medications and treatments as directed by a veterinarian
Maintain accurate medical records
Help ensure that treatment areas, equipment, and supplies remain clean, organized, and ready for use
Provide support in both the clinic and mobile setting when needed

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of veterinary technician experience
Previous leadership, supervisory, or practice management experience strongly preferred
Colorado veterinary technician registration or credentialing preferred
Strong clinical skills, including anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, venipuncture, catheter placement, and surgical support
Ability to lead with professionalism, fairness, empathy, and accountability
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
Able to prioritize responsibilities and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with veterinary practice-management software and basic administrative systems
Ability to lift and safely handle animals and equipment consistent with the requirements of the position
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
