Full Job Description

Pride Health is hiring a Registered Dietitian to support our client’s medical facility based in Bronx, NY 10467. This is a 13-week assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Location: Bronx, NY 10467

Pay Range (Travel): $2,150 - $2,200 per week

Schedule: 7 hrs/day Mon-Fri (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM), 35 hrs/week (excluding breaks)

Start date: 07/27/2026 (Tentative)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a contract opportunity. The Registered Dietitian will assess patients' nutritional status, develop individualized nutrition care plans, provide nutrition education, and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes. Recent inpatient hospital experience is required.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related accredited program.
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient hospital experience (3+ years preferred).
Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Strong knowledge of nutritional assessment, malnutrition diagnosis, and therapeutic diet planning.
Experience interpreting laboratory and clinical data for nutrition care.
Experience providing nutrition education and counseling.
Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) or equivalent nutrition support/critical care certification.
Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
AHA BLS Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive nutrition screenings and assessments to determine patients' nutritional needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, nutrition management, and food-drug interactions.
Interpret laboratory, physical, and clinical data to support nutrition interventions.
Consult with physicians and healthcare teams regarding diet modifications and nutrition support.
Document nutrition assessments, patient education, and diet recommendations accurately.
Modify patient menus based on medical conditions and nutritional requirements.
Participate in follow-up care while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
