Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our dynamic cardiovascular team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cardiac catheterization procedures, critical care, and emergency response. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will deliver expert patient care before, during, and after interventional procedures within our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory. Your role will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through precise assessment, compassionate support, and adherence to safety protocols.

Duties

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and other interventional cardiology procedures.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and physiological responses using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
Assist physicians during procedures by preparing sterile equipment, maintaining aseptic technique, and managing procedural supplies.
Administer medications including sedation, analgesics, and contrast agents with precision while observing for adverse reactions.
Educate patients on procedural processes, post-procedure care, and lifestyle modifications related to cardiovascular health.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and critical care specialists to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain strict infection control standards and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning optimally.
Document all nursing interventions accurately in medical records while complying with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

Valid RN licensure with current state registration or license.
Minimum of two years’ experience in cardiac catheterization labs or interventional cardiology units; .
Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique, IV infusion therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment.
Knowledge of physiology related to cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about complex medical procedures.
