Full Job Description

Job Title: Hygiene Coordinator

Hours: 32-34 per week, Monday through Thursday from 7:15 am to approximately 4:45 pm (alternative workweek schedule)

Compensation: $28–$32 per hour + bonuses

Location: Rancho Bernardo / San Diego, CA 92128

Classic Dental Smiles is seeking a full-time Hygiene Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone polished, warm, highly organized, and confident in creating an excellent patient experience from first contact through continuing care.

This role is ideal for a strong dental front office professional who understands how to keep a hygiene schedule productive, help patients stay on track with recare, and communicate with clarity and professionalism. Our office values maturity, dependability, attention to detail, and a high standard of service.

Responsibilities include:

Use of Open Dental software

Manage and maintain an efficient hygiene schedule

Confirm appointments and reduce open time in the hygiene column

Monitor overdue recare and help reactivate inactive patients

Coordinate patient flow between hygiene and doctor schedules

Check patients in and out with professionalism and warmth

Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage clearly

Enter treatment notes, patient communications, and scheduling updates accurately

Support the team in achieving a smooth, productive daily schedule

Help patients understand the value of preventive care and recommended follow-up

Qualifications:

Dental front office experience required

Prior experience as a hygiene coordinator, treatment coordinator, or patient coordinator preferred. Experience in hospitality is a plus.

Strong understanding of dental insurance, scheduling, and patient communication

Excellent phone skills and professional written communication

Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with dental software and office systems preferred

Compensation of $28–$32 per hour, based on experience.

After 3 months, participation in a bonus plan.

After one year, 401k plan and paid vacation time offered.
