Full Job Description

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Incumbent would support the vision and mission of Region 11 Workforce Board, Inc. by implementing the following WorkOne One-stop system duties in partnership with the Board:

DUTIES:

Coordinate the service delivery of required one-stop partners and service providers with a focus on ensuring that all one-stop partners and providers share a mission and common operations, system and improvement goals around access and quality of services for customers, based on the Region 11 One-Stop Partner Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Support the mission and vision of policies developed by Region 11 Workforce Board and assist Region 11 Workforce Board in the development and implementation of policies and processes for the Coordinated One-Stop System to integrate system delivery.

Make recommendations to Region 11 Workforce Board for development and implementation of an enhanced approach to communicating effectively with a customer-centered focus between one-stop partners, providers, and one-stop customers.

Establish a mutually agreed upon approach to Region 11 Workforce Board and partners to ensure the provision of excellent customer service across the WorkOne System as well as assist in the implementation of strategies to improve participation in customer satisfaction surveys.

Recommend and facilitate opportunities for professional development with partner staff and standardize training in partnership with Region 11 Workforce Board Staff.

Make additional recommendations to Region 11 Workforce Board and implement as directed regarding expanded integrated service delivery opportunities, communication opportunities, and other opportunities to strengthen the overall delivery system.

Make recommendations to Region 11 Workforce Board in conveying the value and opportunities for partners to join the WorkOne System.

Assist Region 11 WorkOne System in the facilitation of the annual Partnership MOU and infrastructure and shared costs agreements.

Assist Region 11 WorkOne System in the preparation for and implementation of the One-Stop certification review process.

Conduct an internal assessment (quarterly) to ensure that all One-Stop certification requirements and processes remain current and report to the Region 11 Workforce Board.

Regular meetings with partners in the WorkOne System and documentation of outcomes and meetings.

Work with the Region 11 Board to develop partner referral processes and evaluate, summarize and interpret partner usage and benefit with in one-stop system in areas such as coordination of services, traffic and volume services, collection of data reflecting partner usage of system and associated outcome.

May travel to various companies to provide training to workforce, including job search, educational, and occupational information. Periodically drives motor vehicle to various worksites, agencies, businesses, workshops, and seminar locations.

Other duties as determined necessary to enhance the WorkOne One-Stop Partner System

I. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Baccalaureate Degree and/or equivalent training and work experience required. One (1) year related experience preferred.

Ability to effectively manage and maintain budgets; meet or exceed performance outcomes; and interpret, comprehend, articulate, and comply with applicable Federal, State and agency laws and regulations.

Must be at least 21 years of age and ability to meet all hiring requirements, including passage of a drug test and background check.

Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design and instruction for individuals and groups.

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Working knowledge of standard office procedures, and ability to apply such knowledge to a variety of interrelated processes, tasks, and operations.

Working knowledge of standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and ability to conduct public presentations and prepare detailed written reports as required.

Ability to properly operate standard office equipment, including computer, printer, calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and telephone.

Ability to comply with all employer and department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug-free workplace, and personal conduct.

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, other JobWorks departments, various community organizations, social service agencies, educational institutions, various employers, clients, and the public, including being sensitive to professional ethics, gender, cultural diversities and disabilities.

Ability to provide public access to or maintain confidentiality of department information and records according to state requirements.

Ability to competently serve the public with diplomacy and respect, including occasional encounters with irate/hostile persons.

Ability to work alone with minimum supervision and work with others in a team environment.

Ability to work on several tasks at the same time.

Ability to understand, memorize, retain, and carry out oral and written instructions.

Ability to plan and present public speaking presentations.

Ability to compile, analyze and evaluate data, make determinations, and present findings in oral or written form.

Ability to file, post, mail materials, and maintain accurate and organized records.

Ability to occasionally work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and travel out of town for meetings, training and workshops, sometimes overnight.

Possession of valid driver’s license and demonstrated safe driving record.

II. DIFFICULTY OF WORK:

Incumbent performs a broad range of duties involving complex and complicated considerations and problems. Incumbent operates within very general guidelines and rules which require adaptation to address specific cases and circumstances.

III. RESPONSIBILITY:

Majority of incumbent’s duties are assigned in terms of general objectives and results, with potential problems anticipated and addressed in terms of departmental policies. Incumbent’s performance contributes to departmental programs and operations by making decisions based on the objectives and policies of the department. Work is reviewed for overall impact on departmental policies and practices.

IV. PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:

Incumbent maintains frequent contact with co-workers, other JobWorks and SWIN departments, various community organizations, social service agencies, educational institutions, various employers, clients, and the public, for purposes of exchanging/information, explaining/interpreting policies, and providing instruction to others.

Incumbent reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of JobWorks.

V. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Incumbent performs duties in a standard office environment, involving sitting and walking at will, sitting/standing/walking for long periods, keyboarding, close and far vision, hearing sounds/communication, and speaking clearly. Incumbent may occasionally work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and travels out of town for meetings and workshops.
