Personal Lines + Commercial Lines | L&I Insurance Solutions

Location: Newburgh, Indiana
Experience Required

You already know insurance. Now find the right agency.

We’re not looking for someone who needs to be taught what a deductible is.

We’re looking for an experienced Property & Casualty insurance professional who understands the business, knows how to talk to clients, can identify coverage gaps, and knows how to close.

If you’re tired of being treated like an order-taker, stuck in a corporate environment, or working somewhere your earning potential and growth are capped, we should talk.

At L&I Insurance Solutions, we believe insurance should be about more than finding the cheapest premium.

We protect families and businesses with integrity.

Our agents operate as risk advisors. We learn about the client, understand what they have worked to build, identify their exposures, and recommend coverage designed to actually protect them.

Who We're Looking For

We want someone with real P&C experience who can step in and contribute quickly.

You should already be comfortable with:

Personal Lines — Home, Auto, Umbrella, Rental Properties and related coverage
Commercial Lines — BOP, General Liability, Commercial Property, Commercial Auto, Workers' Compensation and Umbrella
Reviewing existing policies and identifying coverage gaps
Working with multiple carriers
Quoting and presenting coverage options
Explaining insurance without sounding like an insurance textbook
Building relationships and asking for the business
Cross-selling and rounding accounts
Managing follow-ups and keeping opportunities moving

This is not designed as an entry-level insurance position.

We will teach you the L&I way, our systems, carrier relationships, processes and sales philosophy—but we're looking for someone who already understands P&C insurance.

How We Sell Insurance

We don't believe:

"Here's the cheapest quote I could find."

is much of an insurance strategy.

A person's insurance program should reflect their assets, income, lifestyle, business interests and potential liability exposure.

Someone building significant wealth shouldn't necessarily carry the same liability limits as someone with very few assets.

Our job is to ask better questions.

Then build the coverage accordingly.

That means our agents aren't simply quoting policies.

They're advising clients on risk.The Opportunity

This position has the ability to work in both Personal and Commercial Lines, giving the right producer multiple ways to build a strong book of business.

One commercial relationship can potentially create opportunities for:

Commercial Insurance → Owner's Personal Insurance → Employee Personal Lines → Life Insurance → Health & Employee Benefits

What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

An active Property & Casualty insurance license
Previous independent agency or insurance carrier experience
Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines experience
Strong understanding of insurance coverages
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to develop client relationships
Sales confidence
Strong organizational and follow-up habits
Ability to work independently
Professional appearance and communication
A competitive but team-oriented personality
High ethical standards

Experience with an independent insurance agency and multiple carriers is strongly preferred.
